"No Friend of Mine" (also known as "Gangsta") is a song by Tempamental
featuring Michael Jackson and Pras.
The song first surfaced on the web in late 2006 on Tempamental's myspace.
In early 2007, hip-hop magazine The Source uploaded a new version of the song
to their website, which had beefed-up production, new lyrics,
and the addition of Pras.
In mid-February, Pras contacted a Michael Jackson fanclub, thanking them for
the support and revealed details about how he became involved in the song.
Pras received a call from Tempamental about a track he was working on and
asked Pras to come into the studio. Pras heard it laid his vocals.
No details have been revealed about how Michael Jackson became involved
in the song.
Although the song is yet to be officially released, it has been getting radio
airplay on stations such as BBC radio, generating interest in the song by its
listeners.
The song has also been getting some worldwide media press coverage, boosting
the popular of Tempamental's myspace page.
The track received over 100,000 plays on Tempamental's official MySpace page
in five days.
The song also received 10,531 plays on the Source website which made it by far
the largest played song.
